I rest my case.

as first post:) someone was wondering about the DCT consumption: after 3500kms my average is 4.19L/100km or 23.88km/liter. I use it for work and commuting, a lot of highway riding at 130-160kmph so I'm riding it harder than most. the worst consumption I got out of it was 21.54 but that included some 160-170 up and down hills on the N1. if you were wondering thats where it starts losing a bit of that power. It'd still go over 170 easily and the red zone is still far but I never liked riding on the edge of a bike's capability.
to the forum. I also think your fuel consumption proves that fuel consumption on NC700's are still excellent at much higher than usual speed . Owners might find all this info very handy , and it is nice to know that one do have a choice as far as fuel consumption is concerned - one just needs to ease the grip on the throttle to do some savings !

E

I've been wondering if there is any difference in the gearing of my Integra and the X with DCT and what impact it would have on consumption. I seem to be getting around 23-24 km/L commuting which when compared to the Burgman 650 Exec I had which was more like 15-16 km/L is an acceptable saving. I know I could do better but I like to push a bit too hard. After all where's the pleasure if you don't see the shock in there faces when the scooter sails past.
I don't know if there is a difference in gearing. What i do know is that the Integra is Quite a bit heavier than the x. The integra is also equipped with the second generation dct box and as far as i know the x is still running on the first generation dct box. I think it depends allot on how you ride. I will be filling my tank soon so then we can compare consumption.
Hi Guys, I haven't really watched this but do feel that the Integra does change up a bit soon unless you are gunning it a bit. From my place the first half km is up hill, when I leave a 6am I start the scoot, zip up the jacket, do the helmet gloves etc and then leave. So its just a few minutes warm up. This is Durban after all. I find the DCT will change up a bit too soon on the hill and it feels as if I'm straining the motor at too low revs for the hill and for the temp which is not yet warm enough. I'm also influenced by having had a Burgman 650 for the last 2.5 years which felt a lot smoother and ratios were seemless. So I now select manual until I get over the hill and that way can keep the revs in the range I feel is better suited for those conditions. I wonder if the bike is the same as the scooter in this regard.
Hi I have also noticed this low rev changing but as soon as i give it more gas it changes down again.....it seems fine to me.....i have driven both the integra and the x in dct and found them very similar. maybe try sport mode as it changes later in the rev range.............................E i checked the weight of the integra is 238 kg without the boxes .....so i reckon about 250 with the boxes as to the 214 of the X .....then again im not the lightest guy on the plannet so this would obviosly make up for the diffs in the consumption between the x and the d
I have done the following on my DCT First refuel max speed 120kmh 29.4km per l, lot's of playing with the gears to see how they work Second refuel a bit faster riding but mostly in Auto 29.2km per liter 2nd refuel doing a breakfast run with novice rider in pack and doing average 100kmh 32.6 km per litre
I have owned various scooters and didn't come close to these figures.......My friends (and me)are amazed.
I am not a slow driver and expect to get average 28km per litre.
Going in for first service tomorrow, hope they are easy on me, also fitting top box and alu bracket from bikegear.co.za. Will post costs for service and pic's of top box once it is done.
