Very simple, with one heavy duty cable tie, no removal of anything and sits right in the middle of the tyre with good clearance. All was done in 10 minutes...
Now I just need to to ride in the wet condition to see if the rear shock is protected...
Yep super simple to install. I also like the fact the the chain guard and everything else stays standard.
I'm sure it's not the ultimate in protection, but it does keep the shock clean. You still get road grime on the shock coming from below, but that is to be expected.

My Pyramid Hugger is coming at the end of the month.
I have tried the hugger out and it works well to protect the rear shock, although the over-spread still messes the under seat area which was expected.
Regarding the Givi Screen, I need to put my ear plugs for anything over 75km/h in order to dampen the additional noise generated by the turbulence now directed at the helmet. Have it on the lower setting to allow more air flow through the helmet vents... Not the best mod so far, I must admit...
The ride is definitely much less noisy with the OEM screen. The air is going through and around me so the air is clean. This means the helmet does what it is designed to do in terms of aerodynamics.
I have mentioned about the turbulent air created by the taller screen. So I believe that, unless the the screen is taller than the rider, like the old Vasper, the noise issue will always be present due to the air being channelled towards the helmet.
Try to ride without the Puig screen for 10min at 80~100km/h, your will definitely get more air to the chest and helmet (esp through chin vent) but the noise level will be down.
Easy to install, perfect mounting first time. Better wind shielding than stock but at the lower setting, it directs too much air to the helmet and creates much more noise when riding over 80km/h. Have it on the higher setting now but still loud...
Davido, How much for the Givi and where did you buy it from? Also, do you perhaps have the code for the screen?
I think the code for Kappa/Givi is D1111ST, the same number but each has its own designation. I got the screen through a dealer here in PTA but there are many who are supplying over the internet. Just look it up. It should cost around R1200.
My riding experience with the taller screen is not that favourable as the noise factor was too much to bear... but it could be just personal preference, as many other riders have really good reviews about it.
See, I am used to the bigger screens and for me personally the nose I can live with, because the handling of the bike in windy conditions such as August means a lot more to me than the noise. I also listen to music on the bike, so the wind noise never bugs me anyway.
Thanx for getting back to me on this, I will see if I can find one.
hi cronos, i would suggest you test some of the various options available that have been fitted to some of the bikes on the forum, i searched long and hard on the various forums on this subject, and got lucky with one of the guys in greece, who has the same length and inseam as i do, so i then knew that his solution would work for me, both from a protection and noise point of few, as well as keeping the helmet supplied with air through the top vent. you being jsut around the corner from me, pretty sure we can make a plan for you to take mine for a test
Yip, I agree with Murray. Different solution for different riders. Try them out, swap with others on the forum and a 30min ride with any Highway will confirm if it works for you or not.

Yeah, we must hook up for sure. I would like that.
