Used the existing Ctek charging cable, bought the Ctek cigarette lighter (R165, with fuse block), connect directly to the battery and out of the cover. No cutting/mounting issue and power is always on. The rubber cover for the lighter came from the multi-sockets I bought previously and fits well. The cable allows about 500mm total length of extension.
Word of caution: the nuts, which the terminal screws fix into, slip off quite easily when disconnecting the battery and disappear into the bike. I have replaced both and now use a insulation tape to close off the open end.
I leave the cigarette lighter charger in the fake tank and use the tool kit rubber band to secure it. Rudimentary but charges my phone and other electronics away from the elements

HaHa!.
Happens to me all the time when taking out a bike battery. Normally at night, then the nut bounces on the driveway and disappears into the dark. Then it's a nice evening spend crawling around on paving with a torch looking for a microscopic nut.
Didn't have the problem on my previous bike as the nuts where corroded tight onto the terminals
Eish, darkness and driveway combo... and those damn nuts... why they aren't welded on is beyond me... Why we do things in those conditions is also beyond me sometimes... Haha!
Took awhile to install due to tolerance issue (QC please!) but once fitted, they are gorgeous! Good quality! Just need a pair of spot lights to complete the looks!
Easy to install, perfect mounting first time. Better wind shielding than stock but at the lower setting, it directs too much air to the helmet and creates much more noise when riding over 80km/h. Have it on the higher setting now but still loud...
Very simple, with one heavy duty cable tie, no removal of anything and sits right in the middle of the tyre with good clearance. All was done in 10 minutes...
Now I just need to to ride in the wet condition to see if the rear shock is protected...
