Wife has the Bridgestones fitted as standard on her DCT, and done over 21,000 on them so far, my DCT came with the Metzelers, which i got 22,000 out of. I put the Michelin's on mine and will for sure be fitting them to the wifes when the time comes, they are great in all circumstances, and inspire good confidence, haven't had much rain since fitting, but on the few bit of wet, certainly had nothing to complain about, will see how long they last.
Cronos sure, Pilot Road 4. The Metzelers (Z8) were comparable with the PR3 at the time, the new PR4 is between 20-25% across the board better in the test than the Metzelers
An interesting observation. I changed my Pirelli MT60's after my road trip back to my Metzelers. The profile on the front on the MT60's is 120/70/17. I found the bike handled much better. It lost than slight tendency to dive into a corner. Has anyone else put a higher profile front tyre on? Noticed a difference.

Thanks. It seems when Honda Sandton replaced my tyre under warranty they out on a 120/60/17. I thought it was a different tyre that changed the feel and did not even consider the size. I will definitely be going back tomorrow for the fight. It now makes sense that the handling is so much better.
Got some quotes in JHB area for a set of Michelin P4's... Best price I got was from Linex Yamaha at around R3430 fitted. Tried Full Throttle and Just Bike Tyre too...they were more expensive. ..any one else I could try?
Best buy i have made in a while!!! She feels like my NSR used to feel!!! I will never in a lifetime consider Dunlop good tyres and i had to drive with the crap on my bike!! The front tyre had some tread left i just said let it go enough is enough!!

I am battling to get dealers that deal in the Pilot Road 4 tires, can the good peeps of this forum post some contact details for the tires. Looking for dealers in Pretoria / Westrand / Randburg area.
Finally bought my Michelin Pilot Road 4 Front tire from Wayne Heasman Suzuki (23 Voortrekker Road, Krugersdorp Tel: 011 955 5960 Fax: 086 402 6023) for R 1,600.00 all inclusive (VAT, Balancing and fitting)
Fitted a new set of P4's two weeks ago at Just Bike Tyre. First of it was a battle to get the tires. Thanks Just Bike tyre for assisting me, some of the other places did not deliver on promises.
Getting back to the tires...holy crap these are awesome!!! I hated Mezzelers touring tires. The B023 where a massive improvement and due to battling to find stock of the P4's I was close to giving up and just fitting another BB023 rear. Glad I did not. The Michelin's stick to the road and give great feedback. Braking is awe inspiring. No snaking or rear end jitters (got this from the BT023 on aggressive down gear into corners). Can't wait to take them on to the track or windy road to really see how good they are. Worth the $$$
My original B023 rear tyre has been replaced with a P4 at 21 000 km. The P4 already covered just more than 17 000 km, and having had a close look at the tyre during the previous weekend, I think it should last at least 25 000 km....
