I will be starting a new job in the beginning of May this year and am looking for suggestions on mods/accessories to get for my NC750X.
What would you salted commuters suggest I spend my $$$ on first and what are some things that really is not worth it. Top box? Touring screen? Crash bars with lights?
My bike is currently stock standard.
Daily commute will be about 30kms there and 30kms back. Mostly on the N1. But will also have to travel to a client about 1h30min ride 2/3 times a month.
This is my list for the commute, in order of importance for me:
- SW Motech Crash Bars from Bikegear - Barkbuster handguards from Flying Brick or Bikegear - Oxford heated grips. Winter is coming. Got from Linex Yamaha. - ICE Cam camera - a dash cam for bikes - GPS mount - Power point for charging cell/GPS. - SW Motech Centre stand from Bikegear - it just makes maintenance easier. - Hugger from Givi - Side stand big foot from Givi or Woema.

In my view, most important to get orange light cover - best way to make you more visible to other road users.
Agree with daveh, well almost:
I have the Rockfox crash bars and pannier racks. Handguards useless against wind \ cold - but can help if you hit something to not injure your hands or cause unplanned braking. Oxford heated grips a must in winter. Swimmer silicon earplugs - unless you don't have any issues with wind noise. Spirit Motor Cycles BT headset - listen to music. Can be used for calls but above 80km\h generally to soft. LED spots - but please don't go higher than 1000 lumens, will just blind everyone else. Tyre repair kit - one that includes plugs and compressed air cans.
