My right footpeg was taken off by a car yesterday. Fortunately no other damage than a slightly bruised foot. If anyone in the Gauteng area has a footpeg available or know where to get one before Wednesday, please let me know. Honda can only order one next week.

Glad you OK, could have been so much worse.

Thanks for the comments/concerns. We were 4 riders lane splitting behind each other. I was last and a bit slower. The traffic was backed up and virtually stationery. The other 3 bikes passed the BMW. I noticed that there was a possibility of the guy taking a gap in the left lane (without indicating), so I slowed down further. He then did not take the gap and I assumed he was waiting for me. As I got to about his rear door, he turned left. I swerved, but still hit his front wheel. Very fortunate that I was wearing heavy boots and only got a knock from the rim. The peg got stuck in the rim and broke off. All is well. I had spare offroad type pegs that I ordered a while ago. Saved me from paying Honda R1300 for a new peg.
As mentioned, it could have been so much worse! Just last week I read a post on the Wild Dogs forum where a guy broke his toe and tore the sole of his foot off after he clipped a traffic sign while only doing 30kph...
