I got myself a KLR to save the NC from gravel road on my commute to work. So far I really like the KLR, nice and noisy. Lots of power and very capable off road.

Man, I'd love to get myself a 2nd bike... The plan is, one day when I'm big) to get a Yamaha ST for the rough terrain and longer trips, and keep my NC, the trusty steed that he is, for commuting. Then on weekends, the wife can take the lighty on the NC and I'll take the daughter on the ST. Family road trip sorted!
Have just recently decided to sell my FireBlade. Great bike, but it's a poor commuter and I'm currently having serious fun with the NC. With a good set of rubber on it, I might even take it to a trackday!

Certainly not a fast as a Fireblade, but depending on the track you will have fun. And then some if you get a -1 front sprocket. Will loose a bit on top end but much more grunt in all the gears, especially 6th.

I went plus one on the rear of the 'blade, so appreciate your comment - makes a monstrous difference.
Might even be able to wheelie this heavy NC if we get the gearing right!
