I have been looking for plasidip in East London for a while..... I haven't seen it in Years. Could you give me a code on the label so i can enquire at Builders express. Thanks...
Which HID kit did you fit? Can you comment on its brightness compared to an OSRAM night breaker? Am considering one that a guy on UK forum got outta the states. Need to up my visibility, tired of not being 'seen'.
Hi Murray - I will have to check the box to see, but basically any HID kit for an H4 fitting will work - the one I had installed by Cayenne was for a car, which means that I have a full spare of everything as there are two of everything. Cost me about R1200, but you can get kits for about R600 - R800. Visibility is brilliant - even with the orange lens cover it has way more light than the standard bulb and it only draws 35W of power.
thanks sl0m0, have see na lot of commentary about the change in light source with the HID over a standard bulb, and a lot of people are saying that although the HID is a lot brighter, the reflector and source are not compatible, so during the day, its great you have a very visible bright light, but at night, the light is not direction al or focused enough? I commute all year round, and leave early enough in the winter months, that this is something of an issue for me. please let me know what you think
