Hi all,
Let me start off by saying: I don’t have an NC – YET!
But I am VERY interested in the latest 2016 NC 750 X DCT. Upon reading up on the internet, checking YouTube videos of reviews, I came across this forum and joined immediately.
The last time I rode a bike was in Std 9 (that was early 90s), and it was a 125cc Scrambler or sorts (can’t even remember the make). With the latest prices hikes of fuel, I started to consider getting a bike for commuting to work every day. A colleague of mine had an NC700, and there my interest got sparked about the NC range.
I visited a few Honda branches inquiring about the NC, getting prices, info etc. when I was told that the new range was launched early 2016. While at a dealership, I met a husband and wife couple, both having their own DCT bike and they convinced me to opt for that too. Their reasons, among others, were safety (as the bike ‘helps’ you in traffic and during emergency situations by selecting the appropriate gear, the ABS brakes) and ease of riding (easy handling, comfortable commuter). That little storage compartment, with which all you NC owners are already accustomed too, has also tipped my decision-making in favour of the NC range.
I went again to my closest dealership last weekend (2016/06/04), and was told that the 2016 DCTs are currently on the ship making their way to sunny South Africa.
So can you imagine how excited I am?!?!
I still have to go for my bike learner’s license, and also want to do a basic beginners driving course again. Just to do things right, and by the book.
Ag, that’s my story in a nutshell, hehehe. I trust I will get loads of helpful info in this forum, and that I can ask any NC related question with boldness.
