Hi All R303 - Citrusdal to Ceres I can report on the untarred sections of road from Citrusdal to Ceres via the R303. There are two untarred sections of road of 5 and 12 kms respectively. The condition of those two sections is good. The road was dry and I rode very carefully and had no problems. I did encounter an oncoming taxi hurtling around a bend - so keep to the left. Happy riding

Thanks Windpomp, I know this is more than two years after the fact, but good to know that with Pirelli MT60's gravel road riding seems to be a pleasure. any new touring stories? Any trips planned? BB
Did that same road Citrusdal to Ceres R303 last year. fully loaded and Givi 49liter top box . Had tires hard for tar and then stopped at the hairpin and deflated tires by a bar each. After deflate ride was better.Had Mitas E07 on the back and Michelin Sirac front. Tomorrow its time to replace Mitas E07 rear. Did 31000 km on the dot. My MT 60 's did 7000 rear and 10000 front.

My E07 is also getting close to needing replacement. I considering the Motoz Tractionator GPS. From reviews I read, it's handling generally bit better except in mud where the E07 with its more aggressive pattern is better.
Currently have the E07 150/70-17. Thinking of getting the 170/60-17 ?? What size are you using?
