I am supplying radiator guards for the Honda NC 700 and NC 750 series.
The guards are made from aluminium, powder coated and re-inforced with an aluminium grid. Selling price R800. I can also assist with the installation for an additional R150.

I made my own makeshift radiator guard for the NC750X today, cost me under R100 and I can make approximately 4 more with the leftover materials. Here's what I did:
1: Bought an expanded metal grid (prod number 143) from Steel and Build City in Centurion - 600x600mm @ R48.85 (Smallest size they could sell apparently). 2: Bought Sealer Foam Strip from Chamberlains - 10x25mm 5m Roll @ R32.64. 3: Had some 395x7.8mm Black cable ties laying around (ended up using 4). 4: Had high-heat black spray paint that I used to coat the final thing.
Method: 1: Measure the size of the radiator (including the solid ends on either side) and add 30-40mm to that lenght (for both the width and height). 2: Cut the mesh to that size. 3: That extra bit of material I told you to add? Bend that over to what will be the inside of the grid and flatten against itself (like folding a paper in half). 4: Now smooth out all rough/sharp edges and give the grid the first coating with the colour of your choice. 5: Give a second coat after the first have dried. 6: Take the foam and, on each of the short edges, stick it to the grid. Only one side of the grid is necessary (the side facing the radiator), but I did both. 7: Cut 4 same-length short strips of foam (approx. 50mm) and stick one on the bottom of the long edge, facing towards the radiator, and one on the top long edge, facing the radiator as well. I added the other already-cut strips on top of the others, as a kind of buffer so that the grid cannot bend all the way in and touch the radiator itself. 8: Position the grid over the radiator and use the cable ties to fix it to the radiator. I positioned the ties just on the inside edge of the foam, on both sides, as to avoid the cable ties touching any pipes etc.
The whole process (from shop to fit) too about two (2) hours and I am very happy with the result!
Will post pictures as soon as I can.
PS: This is just a quick solution (with the cable ties) since I will be driving a long way and needed a guard quickly and I plan on making an aluminium frame and bracket for it later on, so that it can actually bolt onto the bike.
Here are some pictures of the guard fitted. It completely slipped my mind to take pictures of the process. On request I will though, since I will be making another one in about a week's time.
@hondafan - Nice! That looks really amazing! wwitte002 - After a 200km trip with a 10 minute stop half-way, the heat did not seem to have any effect whatsoever on the foam. In my next version, I will not put foam on the front as a wrap-around either (I did it in the first one due to a miscalculation as to where the cable ties would go), but only on the back, so the grid does not touch the radiator directly causing scratches.
I am in the process of planning to make a rear-hugger (mudguard) from abs plastic (same as the panels on the bike) for the NC as well. After that a rock-slider/engine guard is next.
