Hello folks! Managed to take delivery of my new NC700x yesterday, after a groot gespook - will write more about that later - on temporary license plate/paper and am happy to join the forum. Live in Strand and previously rode a TransAlp - droffarc.wikispaces.com/main for more. Did a night ride from Durbanville last night and was impressed with the bike - still need to get used to the turning circle - I have the habit of standing up while turning .... while doing pretty much anything else for that matter. Planning on doing a two up ride over the weekend depending on the weather - over sir Lowry's through Grabouw, over Viljoens and through Vyeboom - over Franschoek pass for a picnic in / around Franschoek then via Pniel over Hellshoogte pass to Stellenbosch and on home. Will take pics and post ;D
- and many thanks for sharing your Wiki pages at this forum !
I have spent four years of my lifetime at Laingsburg, and your Moordenaars Karoo photos indeed brings back many good memories......in fact, some of the photos of the Moordenaars road are very familiar - I have done quite a bit of road running on that very road !
There is a saying at Laingsburg which is very true :
"Jy huil net twee keer op Laingsburg - die dag wanneer jy hier aankom, en die dag wanneer jy hier weggaan".
Anyway, it will be great to see more posts and pics from you at this Forum, so please keep us posted !
Regards.
