I had a conversation with the head of motorbike servicing at Honda Sandton, who told me that even though the 'combined' word was dropped from the nomenclature ABS on the bikes, that the current 750 and the soon coming 2015 750, have linked ABS which is supposedly the same as the combined? Has anyone heard something similar, or can confirm this? I find it difficult to digest that something so marketable and of praise, and safety considerations, would be omitted?
The 750's have what is called dual channel ABS instead of the combined ABS, dual channel is described as...
"allows the brake to be applied to both wheels even if the driver only activates the front brake lever. The system detects the braking intention and actively builds pressure on the other brake circuit, causing both wheels to decelerate."
it would be nice to know if the 750 has c-abs as far as i know it does not have. the c-abs has more hydraulic fluid cables in and out of the calipers. i have hit abs with both front and back brake and i can assure you if i hit one brake only that brake activated abs or did any braking.
