well having done my licence on the DCT, and can tell you that not all the testers are sharp enough to pick up that its a DCT, mine didn't, and I got a 'manual' license.
HAHA - Man that is sweet, the testers did not even notice that t was auto. I can imagine that the test was even easier to do on the DCT than a manual. No having to worry about clutch control, stalling and even the speed test gets done in the right gears as the bike shifts it self.
Word of advice. When you do your test, try get a booking at Nelmapius test center in PTA. Best testing station I ever went to and will recommend it gladly
funny thing about that gear lever is that you buy the DCT well for the fact that you dont need to shift. then adding the foot lever to shift it baffles me but horses for courses. i bought mine in the DCT version for the ABS as its just safer in the wet, but i must admit i will buy a DCT bike again its a pleasure to drive. and yammie is bringing out a DCT version on the 2015 R1!!!! That is going to be insane!!!

I guess getting a lever will be personal preference, but I do agree that having the bike do it all is SO much better. I have tried the tip tronic in manual and I keep over revving the bike
For me the Bike does a wonderful job on the gears, so I will leave it to her to decide. Except On Monday I got stuck in a heavy down pour and it was the first time that I argued with the gearbox a little. At slow speed (60) in Drive she kept changing up to 6, but the road conditions required the bike to be in 3rd or 4th to feel stable. I kept changing back down, but after the 4th time decided to just go to sport and the rest of the trip went a lot smoother.
yeah i find that the bike shifts from 5th - 6 on too low kmh. it feels like there is a knocking somewhere must be the balancing weights!!! and it happens on 65km/h and it shifts to 6 and that drives me up the wall. so i flick it to manual and sort it out myself.
and when i switch to manual if i want to pull hard from a stop i have learned to rather shift when i think it to early or else i also just bounce on the limiter. i find that if i shift just a bit before i want to shift i get it 100% most of the time. but then again nothing wrong with the S mode she moves in s mode!!
