yo , yo yo ... so i er learnt something new today about the NC.. it's got a 14L tank
there is was riding home , fuel gauge is flashing at me , but i figure lemmie try to get to 400km as i was only at 380km. and i fill up at 13L so maybe i can get to 400km
riding along when power cut out
so i coasted along and then started the bike and rode till it died again
yeah , i learnt it's not a good idea got to a caltex so i'm all good
but the bike is now sluggish / or am i just imagining it ? anyways i'll try it again on wednesday and see if it still feels sluggish or if i am feeling sluggish and mislik!!
moral of the story - don't test the range unless you have a bottle of petrol in the ftrunk thanks for listening
Ha Ha - It happened to me too!! Just in my case I thought the bike had a 17L tank for some odd reason
I also felt that Sluggishness after making it to the Garage and filling up (13.95L) but it went away after about 5/10km. Only problem I have is I could make 289km on that tank and no where near 380???
Maybe she is to new or perhaps it is because my throttle has 2 settings - on and off. LoL
Hhmm I think you guys might get that rain real soon.. please be safe out there and take care! Pull over if you can't see where you're going, rather get there a bit alter than not at all... (I sound like a typical Mom hiehie...)
My light used to start flashing roughly at about 300km... the furthest I pushed her was 380km before I filled up, but was pretty nervous by that time already... don't think I'll go much further than that without pulling into the closest filling station...
sorry , i heard the rattle before , when applying back brakes it rattled .. when i looked a the pads they didn't look too bad , i definitely didn't see it was at 1mm
lets just say it's a new concept that makes a noise when it's due for replacing lol
Riding in the rain - awesome i credit the bike for a very non-eventful ride home today confidence is building but i am still nowhere near the first rung on the ladder
One more thing to add when riding in the wet..... If your helmet caters for a pinlock visor buy one! I bought one last year and wear it in cold / wet weather. Makes one hell of a difference.
