Sorry for late reply. Hard to say, those are great tyres but meant for 80/20 use, former being road. The concern would be how they would hold out against sharp rocks puncturing through the tread or the sidewall. So not sure!
As for sani the trip, has been postponed till monday 16th, so if u keen let me know!
hoping to do a sani pass trip in 2 weeks - sat 7th. if anyone is keen we leave howick 7am
Hi Dave, Do you think I would get up sani with scorpion trial tyres in the picture?
Sani depends a lot of the condition you find the road in. I've been up there as a student in a tazz just after it was graded. Easy peasy, no problems. Anyone would have made it on a road bike.
If it's been months since a grading, or after flooding etc, it's a whole different story.

Hi - chatted to a mate on Sat who has just been up sani on a new tenere with pirelli scorpion tyres - he had no problems, and went 2 up... my advice is to get the bash plate though - the nc is very exposed to rocks on the sump and catalytic converter. I purchased mine from trtech based in Hillcrest - very happy with the workmanship and overall quality

I wanted ti fit Pirelli Scorpion Trails. But due to no stock I opted for the Mits. Had a Mitas E-07 fitted recently on the rear. Performance on tar and gravel is fine for me.
Mt-60 still on the front. For me, MT60's traction on the road \ tar is 100%. But milage is crap. Only got about 6000km from the rear. Probably will not see 8k before I have to replace the front.
Full set MT60's. Trip with a bunch of GS800's. No problems experianced. Although I was "penalized" for being the only road bike between the adventure bikes. I honestly don't want any other bike.
