Hi Sherman. You might just be so impressed that you could just buy yourself one too. They are magnificent bikes in all the variants. I personally own a nc700d which is the scoot, but I have ridden all of them and all of them are great
Until January 2013 I have never been on a bike alone (always on the back of my partner's bike) and didnt even know where the throttle was! My friends clubbed together for my bday gift and I went to Speed Queen Racing Academy (Centurion) on a 1 day course, and they taught me everything from scratch. I then went through the whole process of getting my learners and at the end of March I finally took the bold step (after 20years of dreaming about riding a bike!) and bought myself the NC700X. My partner owned a Suzuki VStrom at that stage (which he is trying to sell now as he bought himself a KTM 1190 . I was very tempted to buy that from him, but it felt like a bit of a big bike for me. I did some research and bought the Honda without even a test ride (at least my partner took it for a spin .. Also, when I bought it, Honda gave me a Kyalami day for free, where I learned soooooo much, absolutely loved it. The 3rd wknd in August we went on a tour of 1036km (Sabie, Graskop, Dullstroom) and I can now say my life is complete It was thrilling and exciting and I can honestly tell you, it was a dream come true... Ok, I can't always keep up with the boys, but I have fun and enjoy myself at my own pace.
I now commute to work on a daily basis, 30km one way (I work in JHB CBD). So far so good, I try to be as careful as possible, but love the freedom and time and money saved.
Pls feel free to contact me at any time if you or your wife would like some more information on this awesome bike
