Hey guys, 750 DCT is now just under 3000kms. I noticed I had some play on the chain, & decided to take it off tomorrow and give it a clean before I do some tension adjustment. But tonight I tried looking for the main link...
Am I going blind in my old age???
Do the OEM chains have a link? I read on another forum that there are 2 makes of chains that came out. A DID chain & some cheap chain (that Honda did a recall on the NC700's) I definitely DO NOT have a DID chain. Could this be the reason I ccan't find a main link?
For a moment there I thought that maybe I had a cheap chain & was seriously thinking of replacing it with a DID.
What millage have you done with the OEM chain thus far? Just curious to know...
I'll seriously have to look at getting myself a centre stand, if I decide to keep this chain on. Cleaning is a pain in the ... with a chain that hasn't got a link.
My chain and sprockets have been replaced after just more than 33 000 km. The chain developed to or three tight spots, and the front sprocket was slightly worn. The rear sprocket was still in very good condition, but has been replaced as well.
I always tried to lubricate the chain every 1000 km, but by times I did not have time, and lubricated the chain after a longer distance,,, the chain also hasn't always been cleaned before lubrication, so I guess this also had a negative impact on the lifespan of the chain.
