Hi, well I have Barbusters on my NC. They are the Storm model, to be exact the S1 model. I liked the fact that they have no backbone support back to the handlebar.....a bit more flexibility if I was to clip a car side mirror. Also I wanted them in black.
Two things in life are infinite: Human stupidity, and the universe....I am not sure about the universe. Albert I
Hi guys Got a set of barkbuster handguards. Now I watched the Video on how to install and it's quite simple. Apart from the fact that I can't get the handlebar weights out on either end. I know about the "clips" but they are stuck so tightly I can't get them to move.
Am I missing something?
So I stopped right there before I break something
Any advice will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance
Hi I was not able to get the handlebar weights out either. (2018 NC750 DCT) All the Youtubes I watched seemed to be for the older NC's which have a different clip system. Eventually I gave up and left the original handlebar weights in and attached the Barkbusters to them. It seems to work fine, possibly will not be as strong as if I have done the job properly. I will try and post a picture.
Thanks Dave I was thinking along the same lines and ended up doing just that. It just means that the handlebars are now approx 2cm's wider - 1cm each side. Thanks for the advice
I recently had an accident with a missing manhole cover and needed to swop bars as well as the weights. You need to remove the grips and throttle tube as the inner weights are held in with a clip which has 2 lugs located in holes in the bars. Once you have pressed in the lugs they pull out
This is true for the "older" NC's, the newer ones seem to work a little differently (mine is 2018). Maybe someone one day will post a YouTube how to video for the newer bikes......
