Been a member for a few months, but only actually got my NC700X about a month ago. What a brilliant bike! Also did a tour in the Lowveld with my family just before getting my NC and we rode a few different bikes. A 650 Vstrom, an R6, two NC700X's, a CBX250 Twister, a KLE600, and an old 600 Tenere. The NC came out tops in my books. It was lighter, quieter and more comfortable than most of the others. I now own one of the NC's
It sure was a great way to get introduced to the NC, although I had it on my "must have" list after Chronos first told me about the NC and I did some investigations. That was quite some time ago Then when the opportunity for the ride in the Lowveld presented itself, I made sure there were a couple of NC's on the trip. Haha. And the road between Hazyview and Sabie was incredible. If you ever want to do yourself a favour.....
i have done some touring around that area in my mx-5, and would love to do it on the bike now, must say though, the one thing that puts me off, is the time i have to spend on the highways getting out of gauteng, i find it incredibly boring, but that being said, is sure is on my list of tours to do.
Hey guys. I've been out of action for the last while. My wife was battling cancer. But now I am back. Also upgraded my NC700X to a NC750X. What a pleasure. It was a good decision. Runs much smoother than the 700 and you can definitely feel the difference in power
Thanks guys. Been a terribly difficult time. Chemo is the pits, and by the way, we found out (too late) that chemo is NOT the only alternative for cancer. There are more effective ways to treat cancer that don't destroy your quality of life. And chemo has never helped anyone with this particular kind of lung cancer. But, my Princess is rejoicing with her Lord Jesus now. So I can rest in that.
